Newton Women's Boat Race and the Womens' Boat Clubs of Oxford and Cambridge Universities
We are delighted to announce that our continued sponsorship of the Openweight Women's Clubs of Cambridge and Oxford Universities, as well as the Newton Women's Boat Race which is held as part of the Henley Boat Races, has enabled an agreement that the women's race will move to the same course and date as the men's race in 2015. This is a landmark achievement for the boat clubs, and we are honoured to support the ongoing training and development of these teams. We are excited to support a programme which has potential to make a real difference to women's rowing.
Our sponsorship is aimed at improving the standard and development of the two women's rowing clubs as they continue in their steps towards building sustainable high performance programmes of equal magnitude to those of their male counterparts. It is great to be able to partner with clubs which, like us, are focused on performance, perspective, teamwork and consistency.
In addition to our existing commitment, we are pleased to announce that our parent company BNY Mellon has agreed with the Boat Race Company to be the new Title Partner of The Boat Race.
