PHILANTHROPY IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Newton Investment Management Limited, part of BNY Mellon Asset Management, has announced that it is to sponsor Scotland's Philanthropy Debate 2008. Organised by the Scottish Community Foundation, a leading specialist of philanthropic services and grant making, this debate will focus on the changing nature of philanthropy in the 21 st Century.

This inspiring event will take place at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on Monday 24 November. A distinguished list of panellists will preside over discussions with an audience of high net worth individuals and professional advisers. Chaired by Lesley Riddoch, this panel will include Lord Robert Smith, Sir Ian Wood, Dame Stephanie Shirley, Nick Ferguson and Anne Boyd.
