Jeff Munroe, a Newton veteran of 14 years, has been our Chief Investment Officer since June 2001. Rather than being the final decision-maker, his role is to guide debate and encourage idea generation from all members of the investment team.

We believe that locating all of Newton's portfolio managers and analysts in an open-plan office in London facilitates this and significantly reduces any barriers to communication between our investment experts.

Newton's 'one team' approach is also embedded into our remuneration program. Performance rewards are linked to the firm's collective success, not to the success of an individual's particular area.
