Raj Shant

 Raj joined Newton in 2002. He is investment leader of European equities and manages both institutional and retail European equity portfolios. Raj gained a joint honours degree in economics & management from Leeds University in 1990. Upon graduating he joined Midland Montagu on their graduate trainee programme before moving to Provident Mutual's European equity research team in 1991. In 1994 he joined Royal Insurance Asset Management as a portfolio manager, where he remained for two and a half years before joining Credit Suisse Asset Management. At CSAM, Raj became a Director of European Equities with responsibility for a team running over $3.5 billion of assets. Raj is a Member of the United Kingdom Society of Investment Professionals and has over 15 years' experience in European equities as both an analyst and portfolio manager.
